As part of the ongoing collaboration between the Arab Office for Youth and Environment (AOYE) and the Ministry of Youth and Sports to promote environmental awareness and implement youth-led initiatives supporting sustainable development, AOYE has launched the second phase of its awareness programme aimed at building youth capacities in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030.

The second phase of the programme, which commenced in the first week of May 2025, is being implemented across eight youth centers in Cairo Governorate, in coordination with the Directorate of Youth and Sports. The initial workshops and training sessions under this phase targeted 75 young men and women from the Manshiet Nasser and Al-Andalus youth centers.

The programme activities are designed to explore effective mechanisms for deepening understanding of sustainable development and its goals, integrating them into daily practices and behaviors. Discussions also focus on the role of young people and youth institutions in advancing sustainable development within local communities surrounding the targeted youth centers.

Furthermore, frameworks have been developed to propose youth-led initiatives to be implemented in the coming period, supported by the Arab Office for Youth and Environment in coordination with the Cairo Directorate of Youth and Sports. These initiatives are scheduled to be launched in June 2025 as part of the World Environment Day celebrations.
